Cinema releases

Four DFG-insured films, including Doris Dörrie's latest film Cherry Blossoms & Demons, will be shown in cinemas in February and March.

Hamburg, 28 January 2019   -   The Kino-Prequel Club der roten Bänder - Wie alles begann by Felix Binder (Universum Film) is released on 14th February 2019. The film tells the back story of the successfull TV-Series. The focus is on the six teenagers Leo (Tim Oliver Schultz), Jonas (Damian Hardung), Emma (Luise Befort), Alex (Timur Bartels), Toni (Ivo Kortlang) and Hugo (Nick Julius Schuck), who find each other in the hospital when they are seriously ill. The Berlinale competition film The Golden Glove by Fatih Akin about the serial killer Fritz Honka is realeases on 21st February (Warner Bros. Entertainment). A new horse adventure is Ostwind - Aris arrival by Thesa von Eltz, which is released  on 28th February (Constantin Film Verleih). Doris Dörrie's latest film Cherry Blossoms & Demons will be released on March 7, 2019. More than ten years after Cherry Blossoms the director and author continues the story of the Angermeier family from Allgäu. This time the focus is on the youngest son Karl, who has to deal painfully with his past (Constantin Film Verleih).
